SRC's Research Division and the Research Advisory Committee review collected data to determine the best methods for measuring and evaluating bariatric surgery program performance. This initiative utilizes SRC's Bariatric Outcomes Longitudinal Database™ (BOLD™), a powerful database system that collects data on all phases of bariatric surgery care from the Centers that participate in the Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence® program. This effort may lead to requirement revisions for Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence programs and provide a resource to clinicians on benchmarks for best practices.
